Submit products to our sister publications’ PIA programs as well. Each program is independently reviewed, and entries must be submitted through each portal for consideration.

Celebrating Innovation in Buildings

Innovation drives the evolution of buildings – from better-performing products and materials to new tools and smarter approaches to everyday project challenges. The Product Innovation Awards recognize the breakthroughs that help create high-performance facilities.

Deadlines & Rates:

Early Bird Deadline: Submit by 6/17/2026 and save $50 on your entry!

Early Bird Price: $375

Final Entry Deadline: 7/15/2026

Regular Submission Price: $425

Additional entries in the same program are: $275 — Save $150 on every second entry and beyond!

PIA winners are showcased in the Q4 issue of BUILDINGS. The 2026 winners will also be featured on the BUILDINGS website and winning products will receive a PIA 2026 logo that can be incorporated into the product pages or materials as your company sees fit.

1. Login or create your account at this link.

2. After you have created your account, you’ll be prompted to submit your entry. (category is NOT needed for submission) Click here to begin your entry. If you are interrupted and don’t have time to complete your entry, your entry will be saved as IN PROGRESS until you have time to complete it. If you forgot your password, click “lost password.” Any required fields that are not filled in will be highlighted in red when you hit SAVE.

3. When your entry is complete click ADD TO CART.

4. At this point, you can either ENTER ANOTHER SUBMISSION or CHECKOUT.

5. At CHECKOUT submit your credit card details and click PROCESS (Only click PROCESS one time!).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an embargo date that restricts when award winner can promote their winning status?

Yes. Winners of the 2026 PIAs must not promote it until December 2, 2026.

Which products are eligible?

Products that have launched between December 1, 2023 and December 1, 2026 are eligible.

Can I enter a product that was previously recognized with a PIA?

A product that has previously won a Product Innovation Award cannot be entered into the same program again for Architectural Products, BUILDINGS, and/or interiors+sources. A previous PIA winner may be submitted to one of the programs which it has not previously won–provided it is eligible within the December 1, 2023 and December 1, 2026 launch timeframe.
